# How to read a record — Trade names registered by companies in Delaware

## How to read these records

### The record

A business operating in Delaware under a name other than its legal name registers that trade name. Since 2024 the registrations are filed with the Division of Revenue, which publishes them.

### Status

Trade name not terminated. Only filings made under a federal employer number (not a personal number) are shown, and the name of the person who signed is never shown.

### What is not here

Individuals, and any name without a company word (Inc, LLC, Corp, Co…). Owner and contact names, phone numbers
and mailing addresses, which this site never downloads.
